Nobody really posts in here anymore, and that's too bad! Our kids are at such a fun age. :)

What are some of the funny or quirky things your child has done lately?

My daughter's new thing is to repeat everything I say. No matter where we are, she wants to know what everything is, just so she can try to say new words. She talks all the time when we're at home, but around other people, she clams up. I'm constantly amazed at how she's putting words together ("Momma kiss knee owie!").

She just learned the concept of ownership, so everything is "MINE!" She really is a toddler now. Where did my baby go! ;)

The other day Julian (who's 21 months old) was trying to point out a puppy to me, but I couldn't understand the word. He kept saying it, and I kept saying, "Julian, Mommy doesn't know what you're saying." So then he said, "Puppy! Woof, woof!" I laughed so hard! I couldn't believe that he actually knew how to explain what he was trying to say!

Owen doesn't really talk yet (He is certainly following the saying 'early walker, late talker) though it was adorably cute last week when we went to a resturant to celebrate my husband finishing his degree and Owen was sitting on my lap when the food came and he got all excited and started squealing 'Yummy Nummy Mmmmmmm'.

Meaghan isn't talking yet either [vocalizing, oh yeah]. She has recently learned the proper timing when it comes to waving at passing vehicles. The other day we were all outside enjoying the fresh air about 9am and a neighbor drove by and Meaghan waved. Unfortunately she didn't see Meaghan waving and didn't wave back.

Meaghan turned to us and started in on what we call her "lecturing pose" where she stands there looking fierce and vocalizing. She went on for about 2 minutes and was even imitating some of the body language I use when I'm complaining about something [hands gesturing and stamping my foot]. It was priceless.
